Tevar is an upcoming Indian action drama film directed by Amit Sharma & written by Gunasekhar, The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Manoj Bajpayee in the lead roles. It is a remake of director Gunasekhar's 2003 Telugu film Okkadu, starring Mahesh Babu & Bhoomika Chawla The film is set to release on December 5, 2014.
In November 2013, news reported that Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha have joined the upcoming untitled film producing by Boney Kapoor, which is a remake of 2003 Telugu hit film Okkadu with Mahesh Babu playing the lead. On 10 December 2013, the film was entitled to Tevar and it was revealed that Kapoor will play the role of a regular college kid from Agra, who is a Kabaddi champion. On 17 December 2013 it was announced that Sanjay Kapoor will be producing the film, directing debut of Amit Sharma. Manoj Bajpayee also joined the film on 30 December, he will play the role of a villain.
